The End-Point Assessment for Team Leader or Supervisor can be carried out remotely or face to face.

Gateway requirements for a Team Leader or Supervisor includes:

  • Evidence the apprentice has achieved Level 2 Maths and English

  • Evidence of a complete portfolio of evidence demonstrating completion of knowledge, skills and behaviours

Assessment Method

Presentation with Q&A

The apprentice will prepare and deliver a presentation, followed by Q&A, based on topics covered within the apprenticeship. There are 4 possible presentation topics, and the chosen topic will be given post gateway. It should provide a summary of their role as a team leader and what they do and how this is relevant to their role and organisation. The presentation will typically last for 20 minutes and the questioning will typically last for 30 minutes.

Professional Discussion Underpinned by Portfolio of Evidence

The apprentice will take part in a meaningful, in-depth two-way discussion with the independent assessor. This discussion will allow the apprentice to demonstrate the occupation’s knowledge, skills and behaviour and that they are occupationally competent. This discussion will last 60 minutes.

Apprentices will achieve an overall Distinction, Pass or Fail for their End- Point Assessment. You have to gain 100% of ‘Pass’ criteria to gain a Pass, and you need to gain 100% of both ‘Pass’ and ‘Distinction’ criteria to gain a distinction.

These results will be communicated within 10 days of assessment. Should a learner need to retake either or both assessment methods this will take place within 6 months of initial assessment.
